• Executor to Will, 1802, Stoke Newington. 131 The will, dated 09 March 1801, of an ancestor, Thomas Ellis (1742?-1802). He was a stockbroker living in Stoke Newington who amassed a large fortune. One of his Executors, described as an 'esteemed friend', was John Henton Tritton, a banker of Lombard Street, London. The executors each received 200 guineas for their work, which must have been a considerable sum at the time.
